Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know Arabic to learn tajweed?
No. Tajweed is about pronunciation. You need to read the Arabic letters and vowel marks; the rules themselves are taught in English.
How long does it take to learn tajweed?
Most adults who already read the Arabic script learn the core rules in about three to four months of regular lessons. Applying them fluently keeps improving with practice.
Which recitation do you teach?
We teach the riwayah of Hafs from ‘Asim, the most widely recited transmission today.
What happens in the free diagnostic?
You meet a teacher online for 30 minutes, read whatever you comfortably can, talk about your goals and schedule, and get an honest recommendation for where to start — with no obligation to sign up.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes. You can cancel or change your pace with one month’s notice.
